International Labor Day or May Day,  is Labor Day in most countries in the world. The festival originated from the workers ‘strike in Chicago, USA. In commemoration of this great workers’ movement, the 1889 International Convention for the Establishment of the Second International announced that May 1st will be designated as International Labor Day every year.

The Chinese People’s Government’s Government Affairs Council made a decision in December 1949, which confirmed May 1 as Labor Day. After 1989, the State Council commends national labor models and advanced workers every five years, and commends about 3,000 people each time.

On March 22, 2019, the General Office of the State Council adjusted the holiday schedule for 2019 Labor Day, and the holiday was adjusted from May 1 to May 4, 2019, for a total of 4 days.

On April 30, the day before May Day, Bonlycasting held a celebration for the May Day International Labor Day and Advanced Commendation Conference for company’s advanced workshop and advanced individuals of 2019. In order to commend the advanced, set an example, and inspire motivation, the company’s party committee researched and decided that two workshops should be awarded the title of advanced workshop and 20 comrades as model workers.

The meeting required that the company should strive to form a strong atmosphere of admiration to the most glorious labor, the most noble labor, the greatest labor, and the most beautiful labor.  The commended advanced workshops and advanced individuals should cherish honor, guard against arrogance and impatience, work hard to make progress, climb the peak again, better play a leading role in demonstration, and strive to make new and greater contributions to building a safe, efficient, harmonious and beautiful company.
With regard to the current and next steps, the meeting emphasized that we must be cautious and consistent, and work hard to prevent and control the normal epidemic situation. On the one hand, we must do a good job in normalizing prevention and control of the epidemic situation. On the other hand, we must concentrate our attention on the security red line and the professional bottom line. Besides, we must implement the requirements for increasing revenue and reducing expenditure, and strive to achieve the best operating results. Finally, we must strengthen team building, effectively play the role of organizational security, care for  the lives of employees, and inspire the enthusiasm of employees for entrepreneurship.

At the end of the meeting, Shao Dongfang, the general manager of the company, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the employees who have contributed to the development of the company over the past year, and hope that we can work together in 2020 and create a better tomorrow for Bonlycasying.
