Automobile castings are one of the main   downstream industries of China’s automobile manufacturing industry. About 10.5% of the parts of a complete vehicle are iron castings and 6.4% aluminum castings. These castings are not only large in quantity, but also have high quality requirements. According to statistics, in 2009, China’s automobile production and sales volume exceeded 13.5 million, and automobile casting output reached 10.33 million tons. With China’s automobile output reaching 15 million in 2010, it is expected that automobile casting output will reach 11.48 million tons.
